The Back to One coffee cart on a Bagside film cart under a studio softbox, with a La Marzocco Linea Mini and grinders

Some coffee services show up. This one fits in.

I built this from years on London's commercial and editorial circuit. Film sets, fashion campaigns, brand launches. It's specialty coffee that understands call times, crew sizes and the pace of a production day.

Coffee is the first thing people notice when they arrive and one of the things they mention afterwards. The bar is solid enough for a full shooting day and light enough to move between setups. It sits quietly at the edge of an intimate dinner or holds its own at a corporate event with a few hundred guests.

Behind the machine

A barista. Not a server.

I'm Norbert, and I'm behind the machine at every booking.

More than 15 years in specialty coffee, starting in London's café scene and moving on to productions across London and beyond. On set, I'm part of the crew, not a supplier.

I engaged Norbert to work on very high-profile commercial shoots, making coffee to order for talent and crew. He was a fantastic asset—always on time, always remembering people’s orders and adding special touches.

Why the name

Back to one. Called by the first AD when everyone resets for the next take. On a long day, it's also when people reach for another coffee.

FAQ

Before you book.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can, especially for film productions and brand activations. That way the setup can be planned around your schedule and call times.

Do you only do film sets?

Film and photo productions are where this started. The coffee cart also works fashion shoots, brand activations, corporate events and creative projects.

Which cities do you cover?

The cart is based in Bonn and regularly works in Cologne and Düsseldorf. Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Paris are possible too, London on request.

What do you need from us on the day?

A standard socket and a spot of about 130 × 64 cm. Indoors or outdoors, studio or corridor.

Can we have our own drinks and branding?

Yes. Signature drinks are welcome, and every booking includes a menu designed only for your day, with your logo. Coffee selection and service style can be tailored too.
